The source your content lives in
Mojimoto is a headless CMS for developers and agencies who want their content modelled properly and delivered through an API they can trust. The name says what we are for.
What the name means
Mojimoto is written 文字の元. Moji means characters, or letters — the words your content is made of. Moto means origin, or source — where something comes from. Put together, the name reads as "the source your content lives in", which is exactly the job we set out to do.
Why we built it
Content infrastructure should be a calm, dependable source of truth, not a place teams dread logging into. We built Mojimoto to be structured-content first and API-driven from the ground up, so content has a real shape and a clear home. Everything you publish flows out of one model you can reason about.
- Structured content first, not a page builder
- API-driven by design
- A single, dependable source of truth
Made with agencies in mind
Mojimoto is billed per project, because that is how agencies actually work — one project per website, with the people and clients each site needs. We have built for the reality of delivering sites for clients: tidy models, scoped access and an API that hands off cleanly. The tool fits the way the work already happens.
